After viewing a Moroccan/Maghrebi film, students will be led into discussion by a specialist over a glass of Moroccan mint tea. In terms of film production, Morocco is the third most active country in Africa, after Egypt and South Africa. This national cinema has been garnering awards in recent years on the international film festival circuit. This club provides students with the opportunity to watch Moroccan or Maghrebi films they normally wouldn’t have access to and gives them the opportunity to analyze Moroccan self-representation in film.
